Art Deco

"Enter the Dinner Dress"
Vogue UK
September 2009
Model: Freja Beha Erichsen
Photographer: Javier Vallhon
Stylist: Lucinda Chambers

This editorial is gorgeous!
The backdrop, the clothes, and the most spectacular jewelery I have laid eyes on in a long time.
Lucinda Chambers styling is on point.
The textural aspects of the printed dresses and the lace and the sequins then paired with a printed tight and then to be topped off with a killer shoe
is what I am loving for fall.

And then Lucinda gets full-on glam as she piles on the shine.
The statement jewel is back and bigger than ever.
The cuffs are so much more than just a cuff.
They are architectural works of art.
They are the physical manifestations of dreams.
The dreams of the artists who molded and melted and banged and aspired to turn those metals into something more beautiful than even those dreams predicted.
These jewels are but a piece of art that can be passed down from generation to generation and will look just as fabulous paired with the clothes of the future as they do right now in the Fall of 2009.
Simply stunning.

I can only dream to top these looks with one of falls luxurious furs,
which would just take the whole look to another level.

ahh I just die. Such inspiration.
Not to mention total motivation to kick my jewelry designing process into high gear.
